2026-02-13: New: pick-up point for library books - Student Desk, Hasselt Campus

Good news for students and staff: from now on, you can not only pick up library books, but also return them via the Student Desk in the Old Prison.

Where and when?

You can pick up and return items at the Student Desk (Old Prison) during opening hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

How does it work?

• Search for your title in the Discovery Service or the online catalogue and open the record of the book you want to request.
• Click the red ‘Request’ button at the top.
• Not logged in yet? Sign in with your UHasselt login and password.
• Select the radio button next to the call number.
• Fill out where you want to pick up the book: Diepenbeek or Hasselt.

Once your request has been processed, you will receive an email.

• Pick-up in Diepenbeek (during opening hours): after the email, you can pick up your books immediately at the Campus Library upon presentation of your student or staff card.
• Pick-up in Hasselt (during opening hours): after the email, you can pick up your books at the Student Desk from 11:00 a.m. on the next working day, upon presentation of your student or staff card.
• If you receive the email on Monday (e.g., in the afternoon), you can pick up from Tuesday, 11:00 a.m.
• If you receive the email on Friday, you can pick up from Monday, 11:00 a.m.

Returns are also possible at the Student Desk in Hasselt during opening hours.

Goed nieuws voor studenten en medewerkers: voortaan kun je bibliotheekboeken niet alleen ophalen, maar ook inleveren via de Studentenbalie in de Oude Gevangenis.

Waar en wanneer?

Je kunt ophalen en inleveren aan de studentenbalie (Oude Gevangenis) tijdens de openingsuren:

• Maandag t/m donderdag: 8:30 uur – 16:30 uur
• Vrijdag: 8:30 uur – 14:00 uur

Hoe werkt het?

• Zoek je titel op in de Discovery Service of de online catalogus en open het record van het boek dat je wil aanvragen.
• Klik bovenaan op de rode knop ‘Vraag aan’.
• Ben je nog niet ingelogd? Meld je aan met je UHasselt-login en paswoord.
• Vink de radiobutton aan bij het plaatsingsnummer.
• Vul in waar je het boek wil ophalen: Diepenbeek of Hasselt.

Zodra je aanvraag verwerkt is, ontvang je een e-mail.

• Ophalen in Diepenbeek (tijdens de openingsuren): na de mail kun je je boeken onmiddellijk ophalen in de Campusbibliotheek op vertoon van je studenten- of personeelskaart.
• Ophalen in Hasselt (tijdens de openingsuren): na de mail kun je je boeken de volgende werkdag vanaf 11:00 uur ophalen aan de studentenbalie op vertoon van je studenten- of personeelskaart.
• Ontvang je de mail op maandag (bv. in de namiddag), dan kun je dinsdag vanaf 11:00 uur ophalen.
• Ontvang je de mail op vrijdag, dan kun je ophalen vanaf maandag, 11:00 uur.

Inleveren kan ook aan de studentenbalie in Hasselt, tijdens de openingsuren.
