If you are working with software in a research context or develop tools, write code, or support scientific computing, we invite you to submit your contribution to present or demonstrate your work during the upcoming Research Software Engineering (RSE) Day on 4th of December 2025 at Campus Arenberg in Heverlee, organized by KU Leuven.
This annual event aims to further shape and stimulate the Belgian Research Software Engineering Community (BE-RSE), on the one hand, and to serve as a platform to exchange best practices around research software that can improve scientific research, on the other.
This edition's theme is open source software & hardware in the broader context of research. We welcome submissions on open practices, community-driven development, sustainability and innovation. Although open source is a suggested focus, this is not a strict limitation - a wide range of topics are relevant to research software engineering.
Formats include posters and demo’s, presentations and workshops. You can submit your contribution until
15 September 2025. For more information, you can read through the full Call for Contributions on the
RSE 2025 website, where you will also find the submission form.
Registration for the event itself has already opened so secure your spot early!
