This session focuses on the applicability of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its implications for doctoral research, emphasizing lawful bases for data processing, principles of data minimization and purpose limitation, and the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the rights and freedoms of data subjects.

Additionally, the workshop will also cover methods for secure data storage and sharing of research data, protocols for data anonymization and pseudonymization, and the procedures for reporting data breaches in compliance with GDPR mandates.
