Join our RDM Summer Camp and strengthen your research data management skills through a series of practical, hands-on sessions. The programme focuses on four essential topics:

  • Data storage: learn about sustainable storage locations for your research data at UHasselt.
  • Data structure and Data clean-up: learn how to clean, structure and document data to improve their quality, consistency, and usability.
  • GDPR: learn about GDPR in research the fun way with a prototype of the Great Data Protection Game.
  • Data archiving & sharing: gain insight into best practices for securely archiving research data and ensuring long-term accessibility, discoverability, and reuse.

Designed for researchers at all career stages, the summer camp combines expert guidance with practical examples, providing immediately applicable skills for managing research data responsibly and effectively.

Participants are welcome to register for the entire programme or select only the sessions that best match their interests and needs.

When and where?

  • July 6, 2026 - 13:00-15:00: data storage
  • July 7, 2026 - 10:00-12:00: data structure
  • July 7, 2026 - 13:00-15:00: data clean-up
  • July 8, 2026 - 10:00-12:00: GDPR in research - the game
  • July 9, 2026 - 10:00-12:00: Wrapping up your research project

All sessions take place on campus Diepenbeek, building D, room E141. (except the data storage session on Monday, which will take place in room E142)

Online participation for the theoretical info sessions is possible on request.
